Public Programs

About our Public Programs:
‘Horse Sense’ Programs include Equine Guided Education for both personal and professional development. We offer a wide variety of EGE experiential (learning by doing) venues that encompass private coaching sessions, youth-at-risk programs, Horse Sense for Women™ 6-month series, Cowgirl Up Leadership™ training, and Women¹s Business Building development workshops.

Equine Guided Education is a safe, supportive and unique environment for participants explore and discover untapped territories of growth and learning relevant to dreams, visions, goals and ambitions. The Equine Guided Educator (horse specialist and human coach) translates into words the horse¹s kinesthetic insights and feedback, providing clients with a unique alternative to traditional office-based coaching, self help workshops, and counseling. The equine-guided education team encourages participation towards a healthy self-image by identifying strengths while challenging clients to develop and integrate new perceptions and relevant skills for achieving personal and professional goals.

Horses, like humans are social animals. They have the ability to mirror exactly what the human body language is telling them. This natural instinct makes them powerful, direct, non-verbal and non-judgmental teachers and guides.

The compassion provided by Alyssa matched with her directness and amazing perceptions were an invaluable part of my transformational experience. This work is so unique and inspiring. Alyssa’s gift in implementing it is profound.

— Horse Sense for Women Participant Toni B. age 54

The most valuable lesson of the day was getting that my life is a reflection of my choices. I am ready to take responsibility for that and stop blaming others.

Thank you so much Alyssa. I feel so inspired.

In The Heart Of A Horse

When Your Day Seems Out Of Balance
And So Many Things Go Wrong
When People Fight Around You
And The Day Drags On So Long

When Parents Act Like Children
In-laws Make You Think Divorce
Go Out Into The Pasture
And Wrap Your Arms Around Your Horse

His Gentle Breath Enfolds You.
And He Watches With Those Eyes.
He May Not Have A Phd,
But He Is Oh So Wise!

His Head Rests On Your Shoulder.
You Embrace Him Oh So Tight
He Puts Your World In Balance,
And Makes It Seem All Right

Your Tears, They Soon Stop Flowing
The Tension Is Now Eased
The Garbage Has Been Lifted,
And You're Quiet And At Peace.

So When You Need The Balance
From Circumstances In Your Day
The Best Therapy That You Can Seek
Is Out There Eating Hay!!!

— Cordelia Wolf
